Orthodontic treatment is an art for straightening teeth or involves in positioning unequal jaw relation. Dentists suggest wearing braces for these, where patient need to keep braces for 6 -15 months and should be monitored every 4 weeks. Dental Caries
For the smaller tooth destruction topical fluoride is used and for larger lesions the treatment given are filling with Restorative materials like composite resin, porcelain and gold. In certain cases endodontic therapy is given and in severe cases extraction is opted.
Mobility
Looseness, Mobility of teeth is caused by disease of the gums, that leads to boneloss. Blunt injury of tooth structure also leads to mobility.
Treatment
Teeth which are mobile less than 1 mm can be splinted to the adjacent teeth. Cleaning of the mobile teeth free of all bacterial sources may reduce mobility.
Calculus/Stains
Calculus are hard chalky white or dark green calcified deposits that form on the teeth or restorations. Stains are discolouration of the teeth caused by food, bacteria, tobacco, metals. It causes gingivitis, gum diseases, periodontitis.
Treatment
- Gingivitis can be treated by regular dental checkup and Scaling every 6 months.
- Gum diseases and periodontitis can be treated by root planing and flap surgery.

Black color of gingiva is removed by laser which is a painless and bloodless surgery
Impaction
The common dental condition occuring when a tooth fails to fully emerge from the gums. If these teeth to partially emerge they may trap food or bacteria in the soft tissue around them and giving rise to foul odour and swelling of the gums called pericoronitis. The eruption of this wisdom tooth is usually between 18 – 22 years. This occurs only if there is space in the jaws, due to deficient space the wisdom tooth gets locked within the jaws.

Partial & Complete Dentures

Conventional denture is inserted only after healing of gums once the teeth are extracted. It takes a number of appointments to insert the conventional denture in the mouth. Immediate denture is placed at once the teeth are removed, but after the healing process the denture may loosen.
